In 2025, the Altona Football Club nominated netball sides in their inaugural season. With our goal being to have a single side, we were overwhelmed by the response and level of participation from local girls, ‘just waiting’ for Altona to get netball off the ground. We entered three sides, two of which went through to make their respective finals series, one playing in the Division 2 Grand Final, but coming up short. In what has been a landmark step for the club, we look to build on this foundation in the 2026 season and beyond.
